Ingredients You Will Need:

  • 1 cup foxtail millet (Thinai Arisi)

  • 1 cup peanuts

  • 1 cup jaggery

  • 2 tablespoon water

  • 3 cardamom

  • Health mix powder – 1 or 2 tablespoons (Optional)

How To Make Millet Ladoo?

  1. Take a cup of foxtail millet, wash and drain and let its oak in the water for 5-10 minutes. Then strain the water and dry the millets in a linen cloth.

  2. Once the millets are dried, dry roast them in a wide pan for about 5 minutes until the millets turn light brown and release the fragrance. Set them aside and let them cool.

  3. In the same pan, add the peanuts and dry roast them until the skin peels and set it aside.

  4. Take another pan and add the jaggery and 2 tablespoons of water to melt the jaggery. Once the jaggery is melted thoroughly, filter them separately to remove any impurities.

  6. Now, spread the flour on a wide pan or plate. Add the melted jaggery little by little and knead them into a big round dough.

  7. Once the dough is thick and the mixture comes together, stop adding the jaggery.

  8. Make small ladoos and keep them aside.
